This course is designed for anyone who encounters an increasing number of clients with scoliosis. The topics covered include the correction of idiopathic scoliosis in children and adults, and we will also tell you how to prepare a patient for spinal surgery or what the rehabilitation process is like for patients after scoliosis surgery. In the lectures, you will get information about X-rays, photo documentation, limb length, corset therapy, or inappropriate sports. You will have the opportunity to practice the procedure with clinical examples. The physiotherapist can bring their scoliosis patient to the course and work in pairs. You will be shown curve corrections in great detail and go through a rehabilitation or training plan together. You'll learn modifications of basic manual techniques for scoliosis. Part A: A basic set of exercises with corrections for scoliosis, manual techniques and massage for home use accompanied by breathing. Part B: An expanded range of exercises leading to a coordinated gait, manual techniques modified for scoliotics and performed on a suspension system.
