Individual care procedure

Our rehabilitation center offers outpatient treatment using the Spiral Stabilization method. The outpatient treatment consists of an initial medical examination, where the patient's medical records are filed, the patient is examined using the Spiral Stabilization method (standing, walking, spinal statodynamics) and a rehabilitation plan is proposed. The physiotherapist then continues with the patient according to the rehabilitation plan.

The patient undergoes a spinal X-ray before the examination with our doctor. The doctor then evaluates the image and plans the treatment procedure. To evaluate the X-ray image, the patient must supply a large X-ray format of the spine. Please see the Help section for more information.
The rehabilitation physician or physiotherapist takes regular photos of the patient to better compare treatment results and tailor rehabilitation to the patient's current condition.

The physiotherapist teaches the patient the exercises according to the Spiral Stabilization methodology, and he/she also performs manual techniques according to this methodology. It is usually recommended to see a physiotherapist once a week (or once every 2 weeks) for at least a month. However, we always proceed according to the needs of the patient and according to the diagnosis. We check the therapy results utilizing photo documentation and control images - X-ray, MRI, and CT.

The initial medical examination is paid by the insurance company. Examination using the Spiral Stabilization method is charged at CZK 2,000. Each visit to the physiotherapist costs CZK 1,500.

How it works

Our rehabilitation center offers residential treatment with the option of bed and breakfast accommodation. Patients most often choose a stay of 5 days, but it is possible to extend the stay individually. Residential treatment is designed for patients who live far or need intensive therapy.

Yes, the Spiral Stabilization exercise is ideal for this diagnosis. Exercises for the thoracic spine, supplemented with stretching exercises, are suitable.

The aim of the stay is to teach the patient an individually designed set of exercises according to his/her diagnosis and abilities. The patient then continues to exercise at home and after a period of time set by the doctor, he/she visits our center again where the doctor reviews the exercises and evaluates the therapy.

During residential treatment, the patient has 50 minutes of exercises each day, which costs CZK 1,500, and 50 minutes of manual techniques according to the SPS, which costs CZK 1,500 for each visit. The patient pays the physiotherapist in cash.

How to Support Treatment and Prevent Back Pain

Surgery for a herniated disc is often the last resort when conservative methods fail. The key to successful recovery is proper rehabilitation after herniated disc surgery, which helps restore spinal stability and prevent future complications. So how can you support back pain treatment and speed up recovery? Recovery after herniated disc surgery can be very quick.

Herniated Disc Treatment

After the procedure, it is essential to follow an individually tailored rehabilitation plan. Herniated disc rehabilitation includes both rest and the gradual introduction of targeted movement.

  • Herniated disc rehabilitation should begin as soon as possible to prevent muscle weakening.
  • A disc herniation can return if you do not maintain proper posture and regular movement.
  • Treatment of a herniated disc involves gradually strengthening the deep stabilizing muscles of the spine.

SM System Rehabilitation – An Effective Path to Recovery

One of the most effective methods is SM System rehabilitation, developed by Dr. Smíšek. This exercise is suitable not only as a prevention for back pain but also for post-surgery recovery.

  • Rehabilitation after herniated disc surgery with the SM System helps restore the natural function of the spine.
  • Back pain treatment using spiral stabilization is gentle and effective.
  • Herniated disc treatment with this method supports proper posture and minimizes the risk of recurrence.

Scoliosis Treatment in Adulthood

Many people believe that scoliosis cannot be improved in adulthood. The opposite is true—scoliosis treatment in adults is possible and highly effective. Scoliosis treatment should include both physiotherapy and regular exercise.

  • Scoliosis treatment with the SM System helps balance muscle imbalances.
  • Scoliosis of the spine requires long-term care and regular movement.
  • SM System rehabilitation helps prevent scoliosis from worsening and improves overall mobility.

How to Get Rid of Back Pain and Prevent Recurrence

Many people ask after surgery how to get rid of back pain and prevent further spine issues. Back pain prevention lies in regular exercise and proper movement habits.

Back pain treatment includes both rehabilitation exercises and targeted strengthening. A herniated disc requires rehabilitation under the supervision of a specialist.

SM System rehabilitation helps not only after surgery but also as a prevention for back pain.
